Marionette lines are the vertical folds that run from the corners of the mouth down towards the chin, resembling the lines seen on a marionette puppet. These creases may become more prominent due to natural ageing and external factors.

Follow these post-treatment guidelines to minimise the risk of discomfort and complications:

• Do not apply makeup for the rest of the day to prevent irritation.
• Stay away from high-heat sources such as hot showers, saunas, steam rooms and direct sun exposure for 24 hours.
• Avoid cosmeceuticals with active ingredients like AHAs, retinol or vitamin C for at least one week.
• Limit strenuous physical activity and exercise for 24 hours.
• Avoid alcohol for at least six hours after treatment.
• Do not take blood thinners such as aspirin or NSAIDs for several days. If you are on blood-thinning medication for medical reasons, inform your provider before treatment and follow your doctor’s advice.
• Refrain from touching, massaging or scrubbing the injection sites for at least four hours post-treatment.
• Sleep on your back, and do not apply pressure to the treated area for two weeks.

Note that the effects of the treatment can vary from person to person, depending on factors such as skin type, age, metabolism and lifestyle habits. Additionally, the body’s ability to absorb and process the treatment itself, along with hormonal changes and individual healing responses, may further influence the results.
